Sul sul! During the pandemic I was living alone in a brand new country, and one thing that really got me through this period of loneliness was The Sims 4. I fervently began collecting all of the additional packs, and creating these worlds for my little dudes to live in and weaving their stories became my favorite way to escape. I want to use this page to keep screenshots of builds I make, and maybe photos of important periods of my Sims lives.

Legacy Challenge

In May 2022 I decided to finally start a legacy challenge, as up to then my gameplay solely consisted of playing my main OCs with death and lifespan switched off and cheating their bank balances. And whilst that's OK, I hoped the legacy challenge would help me discover new fun things about the game and allow me to play out different story lines with each generation.

I'm currently playing the legacy challenge as a 'rags to riches' with zero money cheats, and playing through each generation with the first born being the heir. And it's really been a lot of fun! I discovered that unlike real life I really enjoy when my sims don't have a lot of money and have to hustle for every simolean as it forces more creative gameplay, and I like getting to play through careers and scenarios that I'd otherwise ignore.

Generation 1

This is my original Sim that I've played for ages with life span switched off, he's my OC and incredibly important to me. He got married, went to university, his partner became an award winning actor, they had a daughter (who became heir) and a son, grew old together and died.

Generation 2

Kat married Hans and they had a son who became the next heir. Kat became a sucessful gardener, and Hans a chef. They both died of old age. Kat's younger brother Dylan became a werewolf and married Rory Oaklow, as the Werewolves pack had just been released and I wanted to play with it. They had a son called Preston. Unfortunately Dylan was eaten by a cowplant, RIP.

Generation 3

Frank, the son of Kat and Hans. He followed his lifelong interest in science and got a destinguished degree with honors in Physics from Foxbury Institute and became an Astronaut. He married Jonnie, a Conservationist, and they had a daughter called Melina.

This legacy challenge is still in progress, and will updated as it goes.
